Government views on violence on games
The government believes that parents are under educated when it comes video game violence, and in turn a website has been created for parents, advising them on what games their children shouldnt have.

My Primary research plans
When on my holidays i will be with many young relatives. With them i'll get them to watch a certain video (probably power rangers), then before and after i will monitor their behaviours.
I expect to see some sort of agressive change e.g. they start trying out moves they just saw from tv. But time will tell.

Research methods
My main type of research will be seconday data, and also there will be a mix between qualative and quantative data. I may do some primary research as in interview people on there views but there will be no where near as much as secondary (but this could change)

My hypothsis
I've decided my hypothesis to be
Violence in media (TV, Video games, Movies, music) will influence children
Q. Does violence in the media influence our children to act violent themselves?
Sub questions wil be :-
In what ways does the violence influence children?
Why is violence in games not monitored better?

More banning ....
A few years ago, when GTA:San Andreas first came out, it was also banned in many countries including Australia
Rap musics influence
The link below leads to a article talking about how many people feel rap music is changing youngsters in a bad way.
My choice
I first considered doing world cinema, but now i'm starting to turn to 'Children and media'. For this i'm planning on looking at how violence in game, and lyrics from music are influencing youung children these days. ManHunt 2 is an example of this where it has been banned from much of the EU due to its excess gore.
